Unmatched Testing Standards

Every lot of Fierce Jet Hoses is tested at our manufacturing facilities and again randomly selected from every lot at our headquarters in North Carolina. Our goal is simple: to ensure that every hose that leaves our facility is ready to handle the toughest jobs and prepared for the most extreme environments. To demonstrate this intensity and passion for extreme, we recently partnered with a Fierce Jet Extreme Distributor, Panhandle Power Wash Supply, to help us push the limits on what THC’s Fierce Jet single wire hoses can endure.

Panhandle, as a trusted supplier source to many in the pressure washing and soft washing industries, was an ideal testing supervisor for phase one of our tests. The question was asked to Panhandle - What happens if you run straight SH in a Fierce Jet single wire hose? And do this for 30-days straight.

Panhandle independently conducted this procedure by running straight sodium hypochlorite (SH), commonly known as bleach, through a Fierce Jet Single Wire Hose for 30 days straight. To push these limits further, Fresh SH was cycled in the mix every other day, subjecting it to continuous exposure to one of the most demanding cleaning chemicals in the industry. After the month-long exposure, phase one was complete with zero breakdown of the hose. This hose was rinsed and shipped back to our facility for phase two of our testing that would include a detailed evaluation and further pressure testing.

Surpassing Phase 2

When THC’s Quality Assurance Manger received the hose, we were astounded by its condition. Despite 30 days of constant exposure to raw SH, the hose inner tube and outer coating both remained structurally sound based on physical examination. While it retained a bleach odor, there was no sign of degradation or weakness.

To ensure its integrity, phase 2 testing began. We started by testing the hose in one-hour integrals at maximum rated pressures of 4250PSI, for single wire Fierce Jet. Then after passing a entire day of this testing, we started to turn up the heat and pressure. We then used the same previously test hose segment, starting with a 10-minute pressure test and pushing the boundaries of over 3 to 1 ratio without failures. Fierce Jet Hoses are tested to exceed standard ratings, and this hose even after the SH 30-day exposure was no exception, performing as though it had never been exposed to such extreme pressure, chemicals or conditions passing each test we pushed it through.

The Results Speak for Themselves

The real excitement occurred in Phase 3 testing. This is where we pushed hard to blow up the hose. THC’s Fierce Jet single wire hose is only recommended and rated for a max pressure of 4250 PSI, but during our push to failure testing, the Fierce Jet single wire bleach exposed hose withstood over 14,000 PSI. (Do not try this at home – you could get injured. We are professionals using professional testing and safety equipment) The Fierce Jet hose, after enduring repeated stress tests of chemicals, pressure and heat hit 14,700 PSI before blowing out one hole – outstanding! The fierce jet hose performed flawlessly, reinforcing our knowledge that Fierce Jet Hoses are built to tackle the toughest challenges with grace and ease.

We ran more of these tests with all the same impressive results! With filming in progress, we ran two 10-min intervals of over 6000 PSI. We then pushed to failure. Again, extreme chemical exposed single wire Fierce Jet hose with two test cycles conducted at higher then the rated 4250 PSI. Once again, 14,700PSI – impressive is an understatement!
